Grit & Soul Privacy Policy

Effective September 11, 2026. Grit & Soul is operated by H Factor Research, part of the Tonight Table ecosystem. This policy covers our website at grit-and-soul-hfactor.netlify.app and the Grit & Soul Android app.

Information you choose to provide

You can browse recipes and stories without an account. Creating an account involves your name, email address, and password. A kitchen profile can include a username, display name, biography, kitchen identity, favorite cuisines, and an optional profile image. Feedback and support requests may include your message, email, device details, and the page you were viewing.

Public profiles and browser storage

If you make your kitchen profile public, the information you include in that profile can be visible to visitors. You can change its public/private setting in the kitchen account panel. Some recipe shelves, preferences, and early feed interactions are stored only in your browser. Clearing browser or app browsing data can remove that local information.

Shared accounts with Dinner Plans

Grit & Soul and Dinner Plans use a shared account and profile service. The same login can be used on either site, but each site maintains its own session. Using Grit & Soul does not require you to create a pantry or meal plan. Opening Dinner Plans is optional; its separate policy covers its planning, shopping, and payment features.

How information is used

We use account and profile information to provide sign-in and kitchen profiles, respond to requests, maintain reliability, and prevent abuse. Hosting and account providers process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and request or error logs to deliver and protect the service.

Service providers and sharing

Netlify hosts this website. The shared service uses Vercel and Supabase for delivery, authentication, and data storage. We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by providers operating the service, disclosed when you choose to publish a profile or use an outside service, or disclosed where required by law or to protect users. Outside links are governed by the destination's own policies.

Retention and your choices

You can edit your kitchen profile, make it private, or clear locally stored browsing data. We retain account-linked information as needed to operate the service and respond to legal, security, and support requirements. You can request access, correction, or deletion through the deletion page or by contacting us from your account email. Limited records may need to remain for legal obligations, security, or dispute resolution.

Security and age

The service uses HTTPS and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Grit & Soul is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
